The UNIK Foundation is committed to being the premier provider of comprehensive wrap around services for trauma-impacted individuals, with a particular focus on the New American, immigrant, and refugee communities in Central Ohio. Our mission is to address the multifaceted challenges faced by these populations through a holistic, culturally-responsive approach. We deliver support services that are tailored to the unique cultural and linguistic needs of our clients, ensuring that they are prepared for a successful reintegration into the wider community. Our target population receive continuum of care that includes behavioral health services, addressing mental health and substance use disorders, and recovery housing to support individuals in their path to long-term recovery and reintegration. By focusing on culturally-informed care, we help to eliminate barriers such as language differences, cultural stigma, and mistrust of traditional service providers, offering a trusted source of support within the community.

UNIK Foundation’s origin story began with mentoring and advocating for at-risk youth from the rapidly growing New American/Immigrant/Muslim Communities in partnership with Franklin County Office of Justice and Justice Policy.
